What you are looking at

These are working photos, taken by our crew on jobs across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Every photograph here is ours, taken in a room we worked in. If a photo shows uplighting in a ballroom, we hung and colored that uplighting.

Most people land on this page trying to answer one question: what will this look like in my room. So the photos are grouped by what is in them rather than by date, and each group links to the page that explains how that piece of the job works.

The events behind these photos run the full range we cover: weddings, corporate events and general sessions, live concerts and festivals, private events, grand openings, college and university shows, and celebrity and luxury events. Uplighting is the effect people find hardest to picture from a description, which is why it gets its own group. The colors, counts and placement are covered on the uplighting rental page.

Wedding AV

Questions about the photo gallery

Are these photos from your own events?

Yes. Every photo in this gallery comes from a job Dallas Event Audio ran across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Our crew takes them while the rig is built or while the event is running, which is why the framing is practical rather than staged. There is no stock photography on this page.

What is the difference between this gallery and your work page?

This page is the visual index, grouped by what is in the photo so you can find the effect you are picturing. Our work page is the written version: specific DFW events, what the client wanted, what we brought and how the night went. If you want to see it, start here. If you want to read about it, read the event write-ups.

Can I see photos of a specific venue or effect?

Ask and we will send what we have. We work in a lot of DFW rooms that are still to appear here, and we usually have shots from a venue on file even when they are yet to make the gallery. Tell us the venue or the effect you are trying to picture and we will pull the closest examples.

Do you photograph events for clients?

We keep photography and video to corporate work, where the deliverable is footage a company is going to use afterward. The photos in this gallery are working shots our own crew takes on the job rather than client coverage. Our photo and video services page covers what we offer on the corporate side.

Will uplighting look the same in my venue as it does in these photos?

The color will, and the effect usually will, though the room decides how much of it you see. Light walls throw color back into the space and dark or textured walls absorb it, high ceilings need more fixtures to read the same way, and a room with heavy ambient light will always look softer than a dark one. Send us the venue and we will tell you what to expect there specifically.

Can I bring one of these photos to you and ask for that setup?

That is the fastest way to book. Send the photo with your date and venue and we will tell you what is in it, what it takes to reproduce in your room and what it costs to run. It saves a lot of back and forth compared with describing an effect in words.

Do you rent this equipment out without a crew?

Everything in these photos was delivered, set up, tested and collected by our own crew, and a technician stays to run it for the services that call for one. CDJs and DJ mixers rent on their own, delivered and sound checked with your DJ. Everything else goes out as part of a package, because a single microphone or light rarely justifies a delivery and a setup by itself.

What part of Dallas-Fort Worth do you cover?

Roughly a 40 mile radius from ZIP 76053, which sits between Dallas and Fort Worth. That covers Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Irving, Plano, Frisco, Denton, Grapevine, Garland, Mesquite and the cities around them. If your venue is further out, ask anyway and we will tell you honestly whether it works.
