When you picture the day, you see the ceremony under the oaks, the toast that lands, the last song with everyone still in the room. You brought everyone together and rented the venue so people would stay. That's the job, and it is the part we have been doing at DFW weddings since 2001.
Dallas Event Audio has been working DFW weddings since 2001. Book one of our DJ packages and your DJ, who is also your sound engineer, is on site for the whole event. A ceremony-only booking includes a ceremony audio engineer for one hour, so the vows and the processional sound right. When you bring a traveling DJ or a wedding band, we set up, sound check with the musicians and pick up after the send off. Uplighting, the monogram, projectors and TVs are set up, tested and picked up by our crew, and Dancing on the Clouds is run by our own crew for the first dance.

A ceremony is quiet voices, an outdoor space with open air on every side, and one take, and we plan it that way. At a recent outdoor ceremony in Dallas-Fort Worth that meant two lapel microphones running our AI-powered De-Feedback system, two EV ZLX speakers placed for the rows of chairs, and a condenser microphone over the string quartet so the prelude reached the last row as clearly as the first.
Everyone hears it, including the back row. Speakers placed for the seating plan you have, so the last row hears the vows as clearly as the first. Outdoors we plan for wind and open air; indoors we tune to the room so every word stays intelligible at a comfortable level.

Live musicians get their own inputs. A string trio, a solo guitarist, a harpist, a vocalist. We mic and reinforce them properly instead of hoping a laptop speaker carries it, and we run the balance live as the processional starts.
Cues are run by a person at the board. Our ceremony audio engineer is there for the processional, the pause, the kiss, and the recessional. If the wedding party is thirty seconds late, the music waits with them.
Then it moves to the reception. The same team strikes the ceremony rig and has cocktail hour and the reception up before your guests find their seats.

A 120-guest ballroom and a 700-guest reception hall are two different problems, so our wedding sound equipment rental starts with the room. We look at the space first, then tell you what it takes to fill it while the tables closest to the speakers stay at conversation level. Venue houselights are built for setup. Lighting is what turns a beige ballroom into your colors, and it's the difference between photos that look like a room and photos that look like your wedding.
The uplighting package is the reception upgrade we recommend first, because of one moment: the room reveal. The doors open on a ballroom washed in warm amber, matched to the palette the couple picked weeks earlier, and the two of them stop in the doorway. We have watched that reaction many times and it is still the reason we carry the fixtures. For the grand entrance, a follow spot run by our own operator puts the whole room's attention on the couple as they come through the door, and the photographs from that moment are some of our favorites.

A large part of what Dallas Event Audio does is supporting other wedding professionals. Traveling DJs land at DFW with a laptop or a thumb drive and a pair of headphones, and what they want is to walk in and plug in. That is what they find: the booth built, the system up and line-checked, and our crew ready to sound check it with them. Live wedding bands arrive with their instruments and find the PA, the monitors and the console waiting, and we sound check with the band before guests arrive. After the send off we come back and pick it all up. The compliment we hear most, from the DJs, the bands, the planners and the couples, is how good the system sounds, and we hear it week after week.
