DJ services in Dallas, run by the company that owns the sound system.
Most DJs in Dallas arrive with a laptop and rent the rest. We are an AV company that DJs. The person on the decks and the line array behind them come from the same crew, load in together, and answer to one phone number. Weddings, corporate events, quinceañeras, galas and club nights across Dallas-Fort Worth since 2001.
What you are hiring when you hire a DJ.
There are two very different things sold under the same words in this city. One is a person and a playlist. The other is a person, a playlist, a system that fills the room evenly, microphones that stay clean through the toasts, lighting that changes when the night changes, and a technician standing behind all of it. Dallas Event Audio sells the second version.
A recent wedding shows what that looks like from the booth. The uplights held a warm white through cocktail hour and dinner. After the speeches the bride had a surprise for the room, so on her cue the walls went to alternating pinks with color chases running off our Wolfmix console, a gender reveal in light. Then we opened the dance floor, the uplights fell in behind the beat, and the floor stayed full. One booth, one crew, and every part of the room moved with the night.
The difference is structural. We started as an AV company and we still are one. The line array, the subwoofers, the microphones and the lighting rig are ours, sitting in our warehouse in the mid-cities. When you book DJ services from us, our own crew and our own gear turn up at your venue.
The practical version: one contract, one load-in, one crew, one person to call if the timeline moves. Our crew runs every cable and handles the loading dock themselves.

A wedding DJ and a club DJ are two different jobs.
The gear overlaps. The instincts are different. Each of these has its own page with the detail that matters for that kind of event: the timeline, the room, the volume the venue will allow, and who you will be dealing with.
Wedding DJ
Ceremony audio, a processional that starts on the right beat, toasts that carry to the back table, and a reception read live rather than run off a fixed list. Under a covered pavilion this year, open on every side, a pair of BassBoss DV12s built for outdoors held the floor full to the last song.
Corporate DJ
Awards dinners, holiday parties, sales kickoffs and grand openings. Polished, on time, and quiet about it, so you look flawless in front of your executives.
Party DJ
Birthdays, anniversaries, quinceañeras, backyard and estate events. Scaled to the room instead of the biggest system that will fit in it.
Club & Rave
Club nights, raves and EDM festival stages. Real low end, real headroom, and lighting built to run for six hours. Where the subwoofers stop being a detail and start being the point.
College & School
Homecomings, formals, orientation weeks and graduations, with the paperwork and the campus load-in rules already understood.
DJ Plus Live Band
Sets that hand off to each other cleanly, on one shared system, with one engineer keeping both at the same level.
Celebrity & Luxury
Discreet crew, rider-driven production, and a booth that looks like it belongs in the room it is standing in.
5K Runs & Charity Events
Most of the 5K runs we DJ are charity hosted. We bring an outdoor capable PA speaker setup with the DJ equipment and the DJ, and when the course has no power, a generator or a battery bank comes with it.
See It In Practice
Photos and video from real DFW events: the rooms, the rigs and how they looked with people in them.
The DJ is the part you see. This is the rest of it.
Booking DJ services from an AV company means the things most DJs quote as extras are what shows up. Everything here is delivered, set up, run and struck by our crew.
The sound systemSized to your room
A system chosen for the space rather than whatever fits in the van, from a pair of tops on sticks for a hundred guests to a full line array with BassBoss subwoofers for a ballroom or a warehouse. Coverage is set so the back tables hear the same mix as the dance floor and the head table can still hold a conversation. See the full range on the sound equipment page.
MicrophonesWith De-Feedback standard
Handhelds for toasts, lavaliers for officiants, a podium mic for a keynote, whatever the run sheet needs. Every one of them carries our AI-powered De-Feedback system as standard, which is the difference between a room that hears a speech and a room that hears a squeal. It comes standard on every microphone we own.
DJ equipmentIndustry-standard decks
Pioneer CDJ-class decks and a mixer our DJs work on every weekend, so the whole night goes into reading the floor. If you have hired your own DJ and only need the gear and the system under them, that is CDJ rental, still delivered and set up by us.
LightingDance floor and room
Moving heads and dance-floor wash so the floor has its own light instead of house fluorescents, plus uplighting to change the color of the whole room between dinner and dancing. Effects if you want them: lasers, low-lying fog for a first dance, haze so the beams read on camera, a monogram on the wall. The lighting services page has the whole catalog.
A technician on the roomSomeone whose whole job is the room
Someone whose whole job is the room rather than the mix: line-checking before doors, watching levels as the space fills and the acoustics change, handing microphones to the right people at the right moment, and fixing the thing that breaks before anyone notices it broke.
Load-in, setup and strikeBefore and after, out of sight
We arrive early enough to be finished and quiet before your guests do, coordinate directly with your venue and planner on the dock and the timeline, and strike after the last guest leaves. The crew that sets it up is the crew that runs it.
Already have a DJ?
That happens constantly, and it is a different product rather than a lesser one. A traveling DJ or a friend of the family walks into a system that is already up and sound checked with them, and we pick it all up after the event. An AV technician can stay to run it if you would like one. Start with sound equipment or the audio services page, or just tell us the situation on the contact form.
There are a lot of DJs in Dallas. Here is how to tell them apart.
Search “DJ services near me” from anywhere in the Metroplex and you will get a long list, and every DJ on it will say yes to your date and sound confident about your room. These are the four questions that separate them, and they are worth asking of every DJ on that list, including us.
Whose speakers are those?
If the answer is “a rental house,” then the system arriving at your venue is one your DJ is meeting for the first time that afternoon, chosen from a price list. Ask instead for a system chosen for your room. Every system we bring is our own. We know how a given rig behaves in a ballroom with a hard ceiling versus a tent versus a converted warehouse, because we have put it in all three.
Who is standing there when a microphone feeds back?
A DJ working alone has to choose between the mix and the problem. We staff events so there is a technician on the room as well as a DJ on the music, and every microphone we send out carries our AI-powered De-Feedback system as standard. It catches the ring before a room full of people hears it. There is a longer explanation of how it works if you are curious.
What happens when the timeline slips?
It always slips. The dinner runs long, the photographer needs ten more minutes, a surprise speech appears on the schedule. What you want is a DJ who has run enough Dallas-Fort Worth events since 2001 to absorb a twenty-minute shift while the room carries on as planned.
Can they send your venue a certificate of insurance?
Increasingly your venue will ask before they let anyone through the door, and ours is on file with most of them already. Dallas Event Audio is fully insured and used to venue paperwork. Send us the requirements with your inquiry and we handle it directly with the coordinator.
If you searched “DJ services near me” from the Metroplex, that is us.
We are based in the mid-cities, between Dallas and Fort Worth, and we work a roughly forty-mile radius from there. That covers Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Plano, Frisco, Irving, Southlake, McKinney, Grapevine, Richardson, Denton and the smaller towns folded in among them.
Being local here is a logistics advantage. It means we have already been inside most of the venues you are considering, we know which ones have a freight elevator and which ones mean carrying a system up a staircase, and we know how long the drive back out to your site takes at five o’clock on a Friday. Load-in gets scheduled around the real drive time.
It is also the difference between a local DJ service and a national booking agency that finds someone in your area after you have paid. You reach us directly: the person who answers your message is the company that shows up, and if another vendor is the better fit for what you are describing we will say so and point you there.
If your venue sits outside that radius, ask anyway. We will tell you honestly whether it works.
From first message to last song.
Four steps, a plain conversation, and a real answer on availability the same day you ask.
Tell us the date
Date, venue and roughly how many people. If we are already booked that day we say so immediately, so you can keep moving.
We work out the room
We tell you what the space needs (how much system, how many microphones, whether the lighting is worth it) and quote that, rather than a package you have to reverse-engineer.
Music and timeline
Your must-plays, your do-not-plays, the moments that need a specific song, and who is calling the show. Our DJ reads the floor from there, the way the traveling DJs who fly into DFW do when they walk up to our booth: the system is built, line-checked and waiting, and the compliment we hear most from them, from the bands and from the couples is how good it sounds.
We run the night
Early load-in, line check before doors, a technician on the room all evening, strike after the last guest. Every cable is ours to run.
On pricing, plainly.
Every quote is written for the job, because a four-hour backyard party and a four-hundred-guest ballroom wedding are different work and each deserves its own number. What we will do is give you a real quote within 24 hours, itemized so you can see what each part is for and keep only the parts you want. Ask on the contact page or text 817-210-7957.
Twenty-five years of Dallas-Fort Worth rooms, and the gear to match.
Since 2001
Two and a half decades of Metroplex venues, which mostly shows up as knowing what a room will do before we walk into it.
We own the inventory
Speakers, subs, microphones, decks and lighting are ours. Everything that matters on your night comes out of our own warehouse.
Delivered and sound checked
Every rig is delivered, built and sound checked by our crew before doors, then collected afterward. Our technician either stays on the system for the night or hands it over working to your own DJ.
Fully insured
Certificates of insurance sent straight to your venue. Send us their requirements and we deal with the coordinator directly.
One point of contact
DJ, sound, lighting and effects on one contract and one phone number, rather than four vendors negotiating a dock.
Answers within 24 hours
A text with your date and venue usually gets an availability answer within the hour, and every quote is back within 24 hours, show day or not.
