An audio visual and live sound company in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Dallas Event Audio provides event sound services across Dallas, Fort Worth and the surrounding metroplex: speakers, wireless microphones, mixing, playback and an audio engineer on site when the event calls for one. We bring the system, build it, tune it to the venue and sound check it, and we run it live whenever you book an engineer, so your team stays free to run the event.

Audio Visual Company Dallas

What an audio visual company does on the day of your event

Most people search for an audio visual company at the point where a venue has told them the room needs its own sound system, or where a planner has asked who is running audio. What you are looking for at that moment is a company that owns the equipment, brings it to the venue, and can put a person behind it for the whole event. That is what Dallas Event Audio is.

We arrive inside the venue's load-in window, build the system, run and dress the cabling flat and clear, line-check every input and tune the room before a single guest walks in. When you book an engineer, they stay on it: microphone levels through the ceremony, music between segments, the handoff from a speech to a band to a DJ, and the quiet fixes along the way. When your DJ or your own mixing engineer is running it, we sound check with them and come back after the event. At the end we strike it and take it away.

Dallas Event Audio has been doing this in Dallas-Fort Worth since 2001. We own the inventory we send out, so the system that arrives is one our crew has already worked with in rooms like yours. If you would rather see the equipment first, there is a full equipment list, and if you already know you want gear rather than a full service, start at sound and AV equipment rental.

Event Sound Services Dallas

Live sound services for every kind of event

Event sound is judged on two things: whether people can hear the words, and whether the music has enough weight to move a room. Those pull in opposite directions, and the equipment that gets one right needs a person watching both to get the other right too. That is the part of live sound services that gets skipped when audio is treated as a delivery. Providing sound for events means holding both at once, all night.

A wedding needs a vow heard from the back row of a garden and then a dance floor that feels like one. A conference needs a panel of four to sound like four separate voices, at the same level, for ninety minutes. A band needs monitors on stage that let the drummer hear the vocalist. We size and tune the system for whichever of those you are running, and we say so in the quote instead of listing a package tier.

Sound for events also means the boring things that decide the night. Frequency coordination so wireless microphones run clear of the venue's own gear. Power on its own breaker, away from the caterer. Cable runs that survive four hundred people walking over them. A spare handheld already turned on and sitting next to the mixer.

What We Provide

Our audio visual services

Six services cover almost every event we take. Most bookings use two or three of them together, quoted as one job, on one contract, with one load-in and one crew.

01

Live sound & PA systems

Rig Powered tops · subwoofers · mixer · engineer on request

The core of most bookings. Speakers sized to the room rather than to a catalog tier, placed where they cover the seats instead of the walls, with a mixer, and an engineer to run them live when the event calls for one. For long, tall or loud rooms we move up to line array systems, and where a dance floor has to feel like one we put BassBoss subwoofers underneath it.

02

Microphones & speech audio

Rig Handheld · lapel · headset · podium · conference tabletop

Every microphone we put in a room runs through our AI-powered De-Feedback system, which finds the frequency that is about to ring and pulls it down before anyone hears a squeal. That is what lets an officiant walk, a presenter step out from the lectern and a panel sit close to the speakers with the room still on their side. At a limestone sanctuary this year that meant two DML500 flat panels either side of the altar, two subwoofers on the floor and the microphones open the whole service. Read more on feedback-free microphone rentals.

03

Corporate & conference AV

Rig Podium and lapel mics · program audio · distributed coverage

Corporate event audio is built around intelligibility. Laptop and program audio into the same system as the microphones, distributed coverage so row twenty hears the same sentence as row two, a clean feed out for the recording or the stream, and an engineer who knows the run of show. See corporate event AV for how a full general session comes together.

04

DJ & music playback

Rig Media players · DJ mixer · booth monitors · facade

You can book a DJ from us or bring your own and use our system. Either way the booth, the monitors and the speakers underneath it come from the same crew, which means one crew owns the whole signal path. If your DJ sent a rider, send it with the inquiry and we will match it. See DJ services or CDJ and DJ equipment rental.

05

Video, projection & streaming

Rig Projector · screen · camera · encoder · audio feed

The visual half of audio visual services. Projection and screens for slides, sponsor loops and first-dance montages, plus multi-camera capture and a live stream when part of the audience is watching from home. Audio and video come off the same console, so the stream hears the microphone rather than a camera in row eight. See projector and screen rental and live streaming services.

06

Lighting & effects

Rig Uplighting · dance floor lighting · monogram · fog and haze

Booked on the same job as the audio, so there is one load-in and one crew instead of three vendors negotiating a stage. Uplighting for the room, moving lights over the dance floor, a custom monogram on the wall and low-lying fog for the first dance. See lighting services, uplighting rental or dancing on the clouds.

One company, one load-in

Hiring separate vendors for sound, lighting and video means three trucks, three arrival times and three people who each believe the problem is somebody else's. When it all comes from one audio visual company, the lighting designer and the audio engineer are on the same radio, the power is planned once, and the venue signs one certificate of insurance. Tell us the whole event and we will quote the whole event.

AV Equipment Rental

Renting audio visual equipment instead

Some events call for equipment first and a production company second. A speaker rental for a company picnic, a PA system rental for a school assembly, a sound system for a venue that is between vendors. We do that too, and it is a separate page with its own detail: audio visual and sound equipment rental in Dallas-Fort Worth.

The one thing that stays the same either way is that we deliver it, set it up, sound check it and pick it up after the event. Setup and tuning come with it, because placement and gain structure decide whether the room sounds right, and those travel with the crew rather than in a road case. An AV technician can stay to run it on request, and for complex setups we recommend one.

If you want to see the inventory before you decide which route you need, the full equipment list names every category we carry, from speakers and microphones to projection, uplighting and effects.

The Audio Team

An audio team for live events, on site for the whole event when you need one

Every booking is set up by our own audio visual technicians. Our technicians are on staff, and when one stays to run your event they are named on your quote from the start. The person who tuned your system in the afternoon is the person standing behind it at nine in the evening, which means when the best man holds the microphone against his chest, somebody is already reaching for the fader.

For larger events the audio team grows with the job: a front-of-house engineer, a monitor engineer for bands with a real input list, a stage hand for microphone changes, and a lighting operator when the lighting is doing more than sitting still. For a hundred-guest reception it is usually one experienced technician, which is the right answer and the honest one.

Our crew works this metroplex every week, so they already know which venues have a difficult load-in, which ballrooms ring at 250 hertz and which outdoor sites have power that will not hold. That knowledge is most of what you are hiring when you hire sound technicians for events.

How It Works

How booking audio services works

Four steps, and you are only really involved in the first one.

Step 01

Tell us the event

Date, venue, rough guest count and what has to happen through the system. That is enough for a real quote, back within 24 hours.

Step 02

We spec it to the room

We size the system to your actual venue and send an itemized quote with delivery, setup, pickup and any engineer time already in it.

Step 03

We build and tune it

We arrive inside the load-in window, build the system, dress the cabling, then line-check and tune the room before guests arrive.

Step 04

We run it or hand it off, then strike it

When you book an engineer, they stay on the room for the event, riding levels and handling microphones. Otherwise we sound check with your DJ or mixing engineer and hand it off. Either way we pack everything out afterward.

Looking for audio visual companies near me?

If your event is inside the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, near me almost certainly means us. We cover Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, Frisco, Arlington, Irving, Southlake, McKinney, Denton, Grapevine, Richardson and the surrounding cities, and we travel further for the right event. The venue matters more than the mileage. Tell us where the event is and we will tell you right away whether we are the right AV company for it, and point you to a better fit on the occasions we are further out than makes sense.

Why Book Us

What you get from Dallas Event Audio

An engineer when the event calls for one

Delivery, setup, tuning, a sound check and strike afterward are in every quote, and an on-site audio engineer for the event is available on request. For complex setups we recommend one, because the person running the system is a big part of what makes it work.

Equipment we own and know

Every system is ours. The system that arrives has been used by our crew, in rooms like yours, so we already know how it behaves when a venue's power turns out to be less than the floor plan promised.

Insured and venue-ready

Dallas Event Audio is fully insured and has worked in Dallas-Fort Worth since 2001, with certificates of insurance sent directly to your venue before load-in, so the paperwork is done before the truck arrives.

FAQ

Event audio services questions

What does an audio visual company do for an event?
We supply the equipment and, when the event calls for it, the people who run it. For a typical event that means speakers, microphones, a mixer and playback, plus projection, lighting or a live stream if the event needs them, all delivered to the venue, built inside the load-in window, tuned to the room and sound checked, then operated live by our own engineer or handed to your DJ or mixing engineer, whichever suits the event. At the end we strike it and take it away. You are hiring a service that happens to include equipment, rather than equipment that happens to arrive.
What is included in full-service event audio?
Delivery, setup, tuning, a sound check and strike afterward, all in one quote, with an on-site technician for the event when you book one. We build the system, run and dress the cabling, line-check every input, set the microphone levels and tune the room before guests arrive. For complex setups we recommend an engineer on it for the whole event, and if your DJ or your own mixing engineer is running the system, we sound check with them and come back after the event. Your team does not touch a cable at any point.
Do you provide an on-site sound engineer?
Yes, on request, and we recommend one for complex setups. A technician runs your audio live: microphone levels, music, transitions between segments and the handoffs from a speech to a band to a DJ. For larger events we add a monitor engineer, a stage hand for microphone changes and a lighting operator. The person who tuned the system in the afternoon is the person behind it in the evening. If your DJ or your own mixing engineer is running the system, we set it up, sound check with them and come back after the event.
Can you handle weddings and corporate events?
Yes, and they are most of our calendar. For weddings we cover the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, often across two or three spaces set in one visit. For corporate events we provide microphones, speakers, program audio and mixing for meetings, panels, general sessions, product launches and galas, with a clean feed out for recording or streaming.
Do you offer live sound for bands?
Yes. Mains, stage monitors, a console sized to the input list, microphones for drums, amps, acoustic instruments and vocals, and a front-of-house engineer for the set. Send us the band's stage plot and input list with your inquiry and we will build the system around it rather than around a package tier.
Do you rent audio visual equipment, or only provide services?
Both, and they are the same inventory. Some clients book us as a production company for the whole event, others just need a sound system for an afternoon. Either way we deliver it, set it up and tune it. Delivery, setup and testing are included, and every system arrives built. Whether our technician then stays on the system or hands it over to your own DJ is the part that changes. Equipment rentals have their own page at sound and AV equipment rental, and the full equipment list names every category we carry.
Do you do audio visual installation?
No. Permanent installed systems, building integration and AV consulting for a fixed room are a different trade with different licensing, and we leave those to the firms that do them full time. We are an event company: we bring the system to your venue, set it up and sound check it for the event, and take it away. If you need a permanent install we are happy to point you toward someone who does it properly.
Can you work with the sound system our venue already has?
Sometimes, and we will tell you honestly which case you are in. House systems in hotels and civic halls are often built for background music and paging rather than for a live event, so a microphone through them will be intelligible but thin. Where the house system is genuinely good we will use it and bring only what it lacks. Where it is not, we bring our own and leave theirs switched off.
How far ahead should I book event sound services?
For a Saturday in wedding season, two to six months is normal and the good dates go first. For corporate work a few weeks is usually fine. We do take short-notice bookings when the equipment and a crew are free, so it is always worth asking, even the same week. Send the date and we will tell you straight away whether we have it.
What areas of Dallas-Fort Worth do you serve?
The whole metroplex, roughly a forty-mile radius from our base in ZIP 76053: Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, Frisco, Arlington, Irving, Southlake, McKinney, Denton, Grapevine, Richardson, Garland and everywhere in between. If your venue is further out, ask anyway and we will tell you honestly whether it works.
